Terms of use, in plain English

Whirrwork is a free directory of robot work: jobs, providers and published prices. Using the website, the API at /api/ or the MCP server at https://whirrwork.com/mcp means you accept these terms.

What Whirrwork is (and isn't)

  • Prices are published benchmarks with a source and a date, not quotes. The supplier's quote is the price.
  • Listings are compiled from public sources and are not endorsements. Check insurance, permits and references yourself.
  • Robot-vs-human comparisons and projections are modelled estimates, not facts or financial advice.
  • We are not a party to any deal between a buyer and a supplier.

Using the data

The dataset is licensed CC BY 4.0: reuse it freely and credit "Whirrwork (https://whirrwork.com), CC BY 4.0". Third-party statistics also need credit to their original source. Bulk downloads are at /data/, so there is no need to scrape.

Using the API and MCP server

  • No account or key needed. Fair use: about 120 read calls and 6 submissions per minute per IP; above that you'll get HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header.
  • Only submit a quote request (submit_rfq or the form) for a real buyer who has agreed to be contacted by matched suppliers. Mark tests with test=true.
  • Don't use Whirrwork to send spam, to harvest supplier contacts for unrelated marketing, or to try to break or overload the service.
  • API v1 changes are additive; we announce breaking changes in the changelog first.

Suppliers

Listing is free and ranking is not for sale. You can ask us to correct or remove your listing at any time through the claim form.

No warranty

We work hard to keep things accurate and every number links to its receipt, but the service is provided "as is", without warranties, and may be wrong, out of date or unavailable. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from relying on it. Check anything important with the source or the supplier.
